MRS. IRIS C. GOSNELL
LANDRUM, Mar. 14 - Mrs. Iris Caldwell Gosnell, 78, wife of J.B. Gosnell, died at the home of her son, J.C. Caldwell at 1:50 a.m. today in Gowansville. She had been ill seven weeks and was a member of Gowansville Baptist Church.
Surviving are her husband, six sons, J.C. and J.L. Caldwell, Victor, Harvey, Waymon and Sam Gosnell; one daughter, Mrs. Paul Reid; 24 grandchildren and four great grandchildren; three half-sisters, Mrs. U.G. Barton, Mrs. Frank Barton and Mrs. John Williams.
Funeral services will be conducted Sunday at 3 p.m. at Gowansville Baptist Church by Rev. J.K. Gillespie, Dr. E. E. Bomar and Rev. T. E. Reid. Burial will be in the Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Marvin and Ray Caldwell, H.E. Gosnell Jr., Edward Edge, J.W. Harrison Jr., and Charles West. Honorary escort will be Fred S. Jackson Sr., B.J. Lister, L.A. Smith, W.J. Loftis, J.L. Petty Sr., A.B. Turner, T.D. Davis, W.B. Brashier, W.J. Gibson and C.H. Campbell. The body is at the home of her son, J.C. Caldwell. The honorary escort was asked to assemble at the Church at 2:30 o'clock.
