History - Elthurah and Rueben were the first couple married in Smithfield, Utah.They were called to settle various parts of the state. She made twenty-two homes a haven for her family. They participated in the Hole in the Rock Expedition. Elthura was good friends with Martin Harris. She helped feed and clothe him in his later years, and he told her stories of Joseph Smith and the Book of Mormon.
