Horace Jackson Causby was the son of William Thomas Causby and wife Elizabeth A. Dale. His parents are buried at Oak Hill United Methodist cemetery in Oak Hill, Quaker Meadows, Burke Co. NC. About 1906, he married Daisy Smith (born 1889) who died 1913. They had a daughter Anna in 1909 and a son Arthur Edward Causby (1910-1996). In 1914, Horace married Flora Barrier who was born in 1893 and died in 1922. Their children were Dorothy 1915, Alice 1919, Inez 1921, Nora Louise 1922. Flora died after last child was born. About 1922, Horace married Annie Lou Hennessee (1902-1979). Their children were Pauline 1923, Mamie 1925, Tom 1927, Ben 1929, Betty 1932, Ray 1934-1934 and Lewis 1936.
Horace Jackson Causby died on November 4, 1947 in Burke County, NC when he was in a logging accident. He was hit in the head by a falling tree, leaving his wife with several small children. His occupation is listed as Wagon Driver at a Lumber Mill and a Farmer.
