Mrs Lillie B. Hess, 81 of Rowe, died Tuesday evening in a Grundy hospital following a long illness.
She was a life long resident of Buchanan County, and was the daughter of the late George and Mary Short Whitt. She was a member of Rowe Free Pentecastal Holiness Church and was proceeded in death by her husband M. Perry Hess, on June 2, 1975.
Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Thelma Null of Lebanon; three sons, Claude Hess of Alexander, Needem Hess of Rowe, and Earl Hess Falls Church; one sister,Mrs. Dora Blankenship of Rowe; 21 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and one great-graet-grandchild.
Funeral services will be Thursday at 1 P.m. at Honaker Funeral Chapel Honaker, with Rev. Ancil Childress officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hills Memory Garden, Claypool Hill.
Pallbearers will be L.D. Blankenship, Carl Sanders, Ernest White, Leonard Coxton, Cliff Blankenship and Harlan Blankenship.
