Susan Reagan Smithson name was left out of the obit in error. I am encluding her as she is the granddaughter of Caroline Sue Queen Logan also.

Caroline Sue Queen Logan, 80, of 223 Columbia Ave. Cedartown, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 15, 2003 in a Rome hospital. She was born March 30, 1922 in Cedartown where she had resided most of her life. She received her business degree from Gadsden State Business College, Gadsden, Al. She was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Cedartown where she was a member of the Women's Bible Sunday School Class. She taught Sunday School Youth II and College/Career girls in her earlier years. She was retired from Diamond-Shamrock Nopco Chemical Division of Cedartown and later was employed at Burgess Insurance Services and Reece Barrett Used Cars. Mrs. Logan received Special Presidential Recognition in 1997 for her service during World War II on the Cedartown Draft Board. She was preceded in death by her parents, Alberta Hackney Queen and Adolphus Queen; her husband, Haywood Jackson Logan; brother, Frank Pershing Queen; half-brother, Willie Welch Queen; sisters, Margaret Louise Queen Bradfield, Evelyn Jo Queen Langford and Lillian Floriede Queen Blechinger. She is survived by her daughter, Hannah Logan Smithson Chambley of Rome, her step-grandson, Phillip W. Chambley, Jr., of Silver Creek. Several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews also survive. Memorial services were held Saturday at 3 p.m. in the Chapel of the Gammage Funeral Home of Cedartown with Dr. David Taylor and Rev. Wayne Benefield officiating. The interment followed in Greenwood Cemetery. Honorary Pallbearers: Frank Burgess, Jr.; Brad Burgess, John Teat, Herb Johnson, Leroy Matthews, and Reece Barrett in Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made at the First Baptist Church, 101 North College St., Cedartown, Ga. Or to the American Diabetes Association. Gammage Funeral Home of Cedartown had charge of the arrangements. (The Cedartown Standard, Cedartown, GA, January 23, 2003)
