Theodore Horowitz, 90, of Allentown, Pa., died Friday, Jan. 19, 2007, in Lehigh Valley Hospice in Allentown, Pa.
Mr. Horowitz was born in Perth Amboy, Oct. 16, 1916, the son of the late Kalman and Nettie Diamond Horowitz, he had lived in the Bethlehem and Allentown areas for the past few years.
Prior to that, he had lived in Kingwood Township, Flemington, and Bonita Springs, Fla.
Mr. Horowitz was formerly a Bookkeeper for Diamond Glass in Perth Amboy, before becoming a poultry farmer with Levine's Poultry Farm in Kingwood Township, in the 1940s until the 1970s.
Mr. Horowitz was a member of the Flemington Farmers Cooperative, the Patriotic Order Sons of America, and served on the Kingwood Township and Delaware Valley Regional High School Boards of Education during the 1950s and 1960s.
He was predeceased by his first wife, Charlotte Levine Horowitz in 1977; a daughter, Linda K. Hammer in 1990; and a son, Kenneth Lee Horowitz in 2006.
Surviving are his wife of 20 years, Shirley Darling Horowitz; a son and daughter-in-law, Ronald S. and Susan Horowitz of Belle Mead,; a step-son, Timothy Schott of Forks Township, Pa.; a step-daughter, Nancy Schott Gorcyzski of Bethlehem, Pa.; six grandchildren; six step-grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and two step-great-grandchildren.
Funeral arrangements were by Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home in Flemington.
Graveside services were held in the Flemington Jewish Community Cemetery in Flemington.
