Margaret (Marguerite) Macht Artzer
by Cecila Tibbets

I can't remember too much about Aunt Margaret. She wasn't at the farm, when I started staying there. She came from Topeka on the train when we lived at Wamego when I was small, probably four, and brought me a doll. I thought she was really pretty with her carrot
colored hair and she seemed to be a happy person.

She died real young (don't know her age for sure). She died in the doctor's office in Topeka where she had gone to have her Tonsils removed. Mother told me the doctor had given her too much ether and her heart just stopped. She was married to Val Artzer; she is most likely buried in Topeka. My youngest sister is named Margaret Lena after my mother's 2 sisters (Margaret and Lena).
