Joseph W. Pozega, 70, a resident of Lorain since 1930, died at St. Joseph Hospital yesterday afternoon after an illness of nine months.
Born in Novosela, Croatia, Yugoslavia, he served the U.S. Navy during World War II as a Seaman First Class in the Asiatic-Pacific Theater.
Pozega was employed as a burner in the number three seamless mill hot end U.S. Steel Lorain Works, retiring in 1974 after 28 years of service.
