She married on 14 Sep 1831 in Portland, Cumberland Co., ME, Henry Wadsworth Longfellow (poet, buried at this cem.); they had no children. He knew Mary from school days and met her again during a church service.
In 1834, Mary accompained Henry to Europe; Mary had a miscarriage and died from complications in 1835.
