Amy Marcella Fratzola, age 86, of Pecos, NM, passed away at home on Wednesday, August 20, 2003, following a brief illness. Amy was preceded in death by her brother, Pat Valverde, Jr. and sister, Doris Medina. Amy was born in Trementina, NM to Patricio and Amy Valverde. Amy married Anthony Fratzola in Las Vegas, NM on June 5, 1943. Amy was a graduate of Allison James High School and later attended Highlands University. Mrs. Fratzola was employed as a teacher with Mora County school system, Social Services for San Miguel County, a secretary for U.S. Engineers, the Albuquerque Police and Fire Department and a homemaker. Amy was also an active member of the Presbyterian Church. Amy is survived by her husband, Anthony Fratzola, son, Anthony Fratzola and his wife, Ann, daughters, Gay Rodriguez and her husband, Tony and Elizabeth Hardman and her husband, Ed, grandchildren, Allison Cone, Jennifer Pruett, Sarah Cone, Lisa Cone, Ricky DuBois, Becky Chavez, Paul DuBois, George Fratzola and Denise Garcia and 16 great-grandchildren. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, August 25, 2003 at 12:00 noon at Berardinelli Family Chapel. Serving as pallbearers will be Rick DuBois, Paul DuBois, George Fratzola, Jimmy Fratzola, Paul Pruett and Jeffery Pruett. Interment will follow at Santa Fe National Cemetery.
