The mother of my great great grandmother, Julia Ann Cantrell Smith.
Temperance Brand Davis was born in Rutherford County, North Carolina on August 11, 1819 to Philip Davis and Nancy (maiden name unknown).
She married Aaron Cantrell in 1838 in Spartanburg District, South Carolina. They were blessed with three children: Frances Cantrell Smith, James R. Phillip Cantrell, and Julia Ann Cantrell Smith.
She died in January of 1881, in Mill Creek, Georgia.
