He was survived by 5 sons: Georgie of Santa Cruz; Jessie of Española; Joe of Fort Collins, Colorado; Dennis of La Mesilla; and Gilbert of Santa Fe; 4 daughters: Celina of Santo Niño, Pauline Greiger of Española, Barbara Giron of Albuquerque, Frieda of Española; mother of his children Crestina Duran of Santo Niño; brothers Carlos of Española and Joe G. of El Rancho; a sister Teofila Gomez of Santa Fe; 17 grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Funeral services were 6 Dec 1989 in the Holy Cross Church in Española. Burial followed in the Santa Fe National Cemetery.
