Harold Wood was born Jan. 13, 1915, in Blodgett, MO, to Edmond and Bertha Dodson.
On April 5, 1942, he married Willa Hunt in Hale, MO They were blessed with a son and a daughter.
The Rev. Dodson served churches in the Missouri and Wyoming Conferences before coming to Nebraska in 1951. He served at Hay Springs; Meadow Grove/Battle Creek; Exeter/Milligan; Scottsbluff; Atkinson; Franklin; Hershey and Greenwood.
Upon retirement, the couple lived in Blair, NE where Rev. Dodson served as part-time chaplain at Crowell Home and in Lincoln, NE. He returned to live in Blair in January, 2001.
The Rev. Harold W. Dodson, 87, of Blair, died Sunday, Dec. 1, 2002, at Memorial Community Hospital in Blair.
Left with memories are a son, David Dodson of Lincoln; daughter, Sharon (Terry) Thompson of Blair; two grandchildren: Paula (Mike) Betzold, Highlands Ranch, CO; Steve (Julie) Thompson, Conroe, TX; four great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Willa; one sister; two brothers; and three sisters who died in infancy.
Funeral services will be 10 am Thursday, Dec. 5, at the United Methodist Church in Blair. Interment will be at Lincoln Memorial Park in Lincoln. Memorials suggested to United Methodist Church, Blair.
