Wellington M. (Red) Radford, 66, died Wednesday morning at Virginia Mason Hospital in Seattle following an illness. He was born in Seattle, February 9, 1906, and came to Ellensburg with his parents in 1910. He moved to California in 1940 and was inducted into the Army, serving four years during World War II.

Following his discharge he was a truck driver in California. Radford returned to Ellensburg in 1960 and was employed at Central College in the physical plant. He was married to Mrs. Helen Correll of Ellensburg, December 11, 1970 in Yakima. Following his retirement from Central College in 1971 they moved to Sekiu, Washington. He was a member of the Moose and Eagles Lodges of Ellensburg.

In addition to his wife, Helen, he is survived by one son, Wellington, Jr., living in Kansas; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Nancy Richards of Ellensburg; a brother George Radford of Yakima; a sister, Mrs. May Hicks of Ellensburg, and seven grandchildren. Funeral services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Evenson Chapel, burial at High Valley Memorial Gardens.
