Betty Y. Solomon, age 77 of Bybee, passed away Monday, January 9, 2017 with family surrounding her at her home.
She was a member of Bear Creek Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Hershel and Cora Holt; her husband, Bill Solomon; brother and sister-in-law, Carroll and Kay Holt; sister, Virginia “Gee Gee” Giles; niece, Kimberly Holt Burchell; and brother-in-law, Ralph Blanken.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Mickey and Barbara Holt; daughter, Debbie Solomon; sister, Wanda (David) Sexton; grandchildren, Michelle (Jonathan) Layman, Todd (Brandy) Holt, and Heather Lovell; step-grandchildren, Kyle Lovell; great-grandchildren, Ashton Thornton, Jillian Layman, and Ryleigh Gray; step-grandchildren, Triston Lovell and Hunter Ellison; special daughter by heart, Karen Winstead; special friends, Mary Ann Stewart, Miranda Stewart, Junior Walker, Eva Maynard, and her family; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and a host of great friends.
The family would like to say a special “Thank You” to Amedisys nurse, Regina Sams.
Funeral Services will be at 7:00 pm, Thursday, January 12, 2017 in the Manes Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ned Ramsey officiating. Burial will be at 10:00 am on Friday January 13, 2017 in the Bear Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 pm on Thursday at Manes Funeral Home prior to the funeral services.
