Actor. Born in Chicago, Illinois, he was a radio disc jockey when he entered into television during the early 1950s, variety show era. Noted for many comic roles, he appeared in countless television series such as "I Love Lucy", "The Beverly Hillbillies", "Bewitched", "Hogan's Heroes", "Murphy Brown" and "Alice". His feature film credits include "Country Music Holiday" (1958), "It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World" (1963), "The Ghost and Mr. Chicken" (1966), and "Funny Lady" (1975). He died in Los Angeles, California, at age 84. (bio by: John "J-Cat" Griffith)
