Meril Backus and Marjorie Estes-Backus. He is survived by his wife, Deborah Backus of Brooksville; daughter, Jennifer Backus-Moriarty of GA; step-son, Robert Kirkpatrick of FL; beloved sisters, Carole Jeanne Backus-West of NC, Sharon Lynn Backus-Hanson of VA. He will be buried in the Vandevender plot in Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Parkersburg, WV. Arrangements by Merritt Funeral Home, Brooksville, Florida.
