Edgar Dale McKinney, 81 years old, passed away peacefully at LeConte Medical Center Friday December 16, 2016.
Dale was a prominent business man in Gatlinburg. His first adventure was raising chickens. When he quit this he had over 100, 000 chickens. He then owned the Supreme Motel in Gatlinburg which led him to the cab sightseeing and ambulance. Then he had a candy store and his last adventure was the market on 321 in East Gatlinburg, which he and his wife Faye owned and operated successfully for 33 years. Everyone who knew Dale loved and respected him. He will be missed by all.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Myrtle (Huskey) McKinney, his loving sister-in-law, Kaye Brennan, and mother-in-law, Lula Latham.
Survivors Wife Faye Patty McKinney; Sister and Brother-in-law: Charlene (McKinney) and Larry Castle; Sons Harold McKinney, Carroll McKinney, and Steve McKinney; Daughter Patricia (McKinney) Sise; Grandchildren Rachel Morrison, Cory Phinizy, Josh McKinney, and Meagan Gibson; Several Great Grandchildren and 1 Great-Great Grandchild; Several nieces, nephews, and cousins Special people in his life: Betty McKinney (mother of his children) and Fawn Conner.

Funeral service 7 PM Monday in the East Chapel of Atchley Funeral Home with Brother Dennis Donnely officiating.
Interment 10 AM Tuesday in Smoky Mountain Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends 5-7 PM Monday at Atchley Funeral Home, Sevierville
