Lester H. Duncan, 81, Jasonville, died at 1:02 a.m., January 2, 1978 at Union Hospital.
Services were held Wed. Jan 4 at McClanahan Funeral home with Rev. James Petty and Rev. Paul Lewis officiating. Burial was in Lebanon Cemetery. The Jasonville Masonic Lodge conducted memorial services Tuesday evening at the funeral home.
He was a 50-year member of the Lawton Street Christian Church. He owned and operated the Ford dealership in Jasonville for 35 years until his retirement in 1960. He was a 50-year member of the Jasonville Masonic Lodge, a member of the Scottish Rite Valley of Terre Haute, Zorah Shrine, Greene County Shrine Club, a veteran of WWI and a member of the Jasonville American Legion Post.
His first wife, Florence (Waggoner) Duncan, died in 1937 and their two daughters, Martha Pipes and Patricia Gambill survive. He married Mrs. Edith Cusack in 1939 and her daughter from a previous marriage, Helen (Cusack) Smith also survives.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Jiles A. Duncan, and he was survived by one sister, Ora Stepler.
