Jerry Gerald Ferguson, 61, of Idaho Falls, passed away December 12, 2016, at his home.
Jerry was born June 20, 1955, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Gerald Raymond Ferguson and Helen Joan DePue Ferguson. He grew up and attended schools in Idaho Falls and attended Idaho Falls High School.
On January 13, 1983, he married Julie Burton in Idaho Falls. To this union were born two children, Eric and Kara. Jerry and Julie were later divorced. Jerry worked as a Heavy Equipment Operator for Gerald Ferguson Construction, Mountain River, Knife River and M & N Construstion.
He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Jerry enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and being outdoors with his family. He loved life and was kind to everyone.
Jerry is survived by his son, Eric Ferguson of Ucon, ID; daughter, Kara Ferguson of AZ; parents, Gerald and Helen Ferguson of Idaho Falls, ID; brother, Dan Ferguson of Ririe, ID; brother, Jay (LeAnn) Ferguson of Marsing, ID; sister, Debbie (Rod) Wagner of Meridian, ID; and 4 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by both sets of grandparents and two brothers, Jim and Johnny Ferguson.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, December 22, 2016, at the Coltman LDS 2rd Ward, 6925 N. 5th East. The family will visit with friends from 10 to 10:45 a.m. prior.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to Wood Funeral Home at 273 N. Ridge Avenue, Idaho Falls, ID 83402, to help defray funeral costs.
