She was born in Rock Lick Creek, Ky., daughter of the late Albin and LouVada Shadoan Irvine. She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Clay Whiles, who died on April 1, 1992, her parents, one son, Lowell Elmer Whiles, one daughter, Joyce Colleen Jeffers, two brothers, Esker and Edsel Irvine and one sister, Elfrid Hall. She is survived by two sons, Gale Whiles of Mooreland, Ind. and Marion Irvine of Science Hill, one sister, Mathel Wesley of Science Hill, eight grandchildren and nine great-grandkids.
