GAINESVILLE, GA Dorothy E. (Goldin) VanAlstine, 74, wife of Gerald E. VanAlstine of Gainesville, GA, formerly of Painted Post, passed away on January 20, 2012, after a lengthy illness.
She was employed at the former Food mart in South Corning, prior to their move to Georgia.
Dorothy was born in Corning on January 27th, 1937, the daughter of the late Frank and Evelyn (France) Goldin.
Dorothy was preceded by a brother, Max Goldin, in 1987.
Donations in her memory can be made to the New Horizons West Nursing Home, 1010 Dawsonville Highway, Gainesville, Ga 30501, where she and Gerald have been residents for the past several years, or to the Alzheimers Association.
There will be a memorial in Corning at a later date, with burial in Barnard Cemetery.

Dorothy worked at Food Mart. Gerald was an accountant at CP Ward.
Dorothy is survived by a sister, Janet Dillenbeck of Painted Post and Frank Golden of Crawfordsville, Fla.
Burial will be in Oldfield Cemetery, Hornby.
