Delma Mae Bliss, 77

A memorial service was held October 19 at First Presbyterian Church in Tekamah with Rev. Thomas E. Robson officiating for Delma Mae Bliss, 77 of Tekamah who died Sunday, October 15 at Memorial Community Hospital in Blair.

Delma Mae Bliss was born November 4, 1911 at Tekamah to John and Minnie Mae (Vance) Bliss. She was secretary and bookkeeper for the Tekamah Creamery and was a secretary at the Burt County Agricultural Stabilization and Conservation Service for many years. She was executive director for the Tekamah Housing Authority for four years.

She had been residing at Crowell Memorial Home in Blair for the last year.

She was a member of Tekamah Chapter No. 131, OES and the First Presbyterian Church at Tekamah.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by one brother, Lyle Bliss of Amarillo, Texas; two cousins, nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
