Willie and Oliver became the first set of dorm parents at Frank Phillips College, and were the parents of three sons Bill, DeJuan and Phillip and daughter Donna.
She was a homemaker and a member of the First Christian Church. She had two sisters, Mary and Paulene, and two brothers, Isaac and Paul Walters.
