Catherine was the 5th of 10 children Matthias Yerigan/Yerian and Mary Kyle. Her parents came to Butler County, Ohio, by 1810, having married in Greene County, Tennessee in 1798.
She married April 13, 1828, in Butler County, Ohio, to John Rhinehart.
There is a John Rhinehart family listed in the 1830 census of Hamilton Township, Butler County, Ohio, and in the 1840 census of Hanover Township of the same county.
In the 1850 census of Fairfield Township, Butler County, Ohio, there are 3 Rhinehart chidren in the home of James Blackburn:
Mary 14, John or James 10, and Lydia 8.
