Nola was the oldest daughter of 7 children of Charles Martin Wagner and Fannie Preston. Her mother Fannie, was a fraternal twin. Nola gave birth to twin boys in 1907, Charles Lucas Franklin (my grandfather) and Holmes Maurice Franklin. She had another son in 1914. Her husband was Maurice Clay Franklin. They were married in 1906. She died in 1954 and Maurice died in 1952. She worked as a cook for the wealthy in Baltimore and was an excellent cook. She was close to the Holmes family of Roland Park, because she named her one son after them. They were a wealthy family that her parents worked for. Her husband was a painter. Nola was born in Harford county Maryland but moved to Ferndale Maryland in the early 1900's. Was the sister of Jessie Clara, Mary Katherine, Howard McDowell, Charles Harry, Herbert Wellington and Hardesty Emory Wagner.
