Hunterdon County
New Jersey, USA
Death: Jun., 1864

Nicholas moved with his parents to Northumberland County, Pennsylvania where he married his first wife, Mary Elder. After a few years Nicholas and Mary moved first to Ross County, Ohio and later to Franklin County, Ohio. During the War of 1812 Nicholas served as a private in the Indiana Volunteers. They again moved, this time to Jackson County, Ohio which is where Mary Elder-Anthony died in 1848.

Nicholas remarried the widow Mary Eldridge-Davis in 1843. Nicholas sold the farm in Jackson County, Ohio and moved with his second wife Mary, several of her children, and his own children, to Cedar County, Missouri.

In 1850 Nicholas again moved, this time to Mills County, Iowa. About 1855 Mary died and was buried near the old Linville farm. Nicholas marries for the third time in 1856 to Matilda Hanks-Utterback. Matilda and Nicholas both died in 1863. Nicholas was laid to rest next to his second wife Mary Eldridge-Davis near the old Linville farm.
