Rachelle Carolyn McCord Fowers was surrounded by her loving family as she was called home to our Heavenly Father when she passed away November 18, 2016, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, at the age of 41.

She was born July 10, 1975, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, and was the fourth of six children born to Roger and Carolyn McCord. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and happily served the Lord and those around her with an enthusiasm and a love for all.

After graduating from Idaho Falls High School, Rachelle began working as a manager for a local pizzeria, and eventually moved into the banking industry where she found her love for working with people. She was married to Rick Fowers, and they later divorced. Together they had three children, and she also enjoyed the opportunity to help raise her step-son.

In recent years she struggled with the effects of kidney disease, but that didn’t stop her from living life to the fullest extent possible. Rachelle loved her children very much, and did everything possible to provide them with a comfortable and happy home. Some may say she was a bit sassy, but most people just know she had a zest for life. She loved to make people laugh, loved to sing, was always up for a good dance, and her smile would light up a room. She found joy in indexing. She loved nature and being in the outdoors.

She is survived by her children, Dacia, Waulker and Hayden Fowers; her step-son Cody Fowers; two grandchildren; her parents Roger and Carolyn McCord of Idaho Falls, ID; her siblings Jerod (Darlene) McCord of Ucon, ID; Lance (LeAnn-deceased) McCord of Idaho Falls, ID; Clint McCord of Idaho Falls, ID; Helena (Daniel) Moffat of Afton, WY; and Emily (Jordan) Doman of Saratoga Springs, UT; and her grandfather Donald Miller of Garden City, UT. She is preceded in death by her grandparents, two uncles, a niece, her sister-in-law, and a man who became close to her heart, her kidney donor Brian.

In lieu of flowers, an account has been set-up in Rachelle’s name at Zion’s Bank on Utah Avenue to assist with funeral costs. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 22, 2016, at the Idaho Falls LDS Parkview Ward located at 2051 South Emerson, with Bishop Dale Petersen officiating. Family will visit with friends on Monday, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home, 273 North Ridge Avenue, and Tuesday 10:00-10:30 a.m. prior to services at the church. Burial will be in the Ririe-Shelton Cemetery.
