W.D. "Dub" Tucker
(August 10, 1940 - November 14, 2016)

W. D. “Dub” Tucker, age 76, of Newport, passed away Monday, November 14, 2016 at Fort Sanders Regional Hospital.

He was of the Baptist Faith and retired from Magnavox with 35 years of service. He was a veteran having served in the Army National Guard. Dub was well known for his collection and admiration of antique automobiles.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Mountie Tucker.

He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Betty Tucker; daughter, Rita Tucker; sister, Pearl Tucker Whaley; niece, Vicki Hobbs; nephews, Jeff Whaley and Rusty Whaley; also his beloved pet KoKo. He is also survived by a host of other family and friends.

Graveside services will be held 2:00 pm Saturday, November 19, 2016 in Union Cemetery, with Rev. Billy Shelton officiating. VFW Post 5266 will conduct military rites at the graveside service.
