My uncle,Elbert,was born on March 3, 1925,to the late Robert Jefferson Otting,Sr. and Annie Mae Riggins Otting. He was also preceded in death by a brother,Jack Edward in 1975. His other brothers include: Robert Jefferson Otting,Jr.,who passed away in 1992,and John Willis Ray Otting,Sr.,who passed away in 2006,and also Roy D. Otting. His sisters include: the late Rosetta Otting Mathews who passed away in 2000, Annie L. and June Otting,and Sadie Otting Ledbetter.
Elbert's children include: Ann,Linda,Robert,and Gene. After his divorce from Betty,Elbert stayed unmarried until his death.
Elbert had a hard life,but I will always remember him as being so nice to all his family and close friends. Elbert became a christian right before his death. He has been greatly missed.
