MARIUS NELSEN DIES IN TEXAS
Adolph Nelsen received word of the death of his brother, Marius Nelsen of Alamo, Texas, on June 3rd. “Mike” as he was known by his friends here in Nebraska, was born on November 11, 1888 in Lokken, Denmark. In November, 1906 he came to Washington county, Nebraska at the age of 18 years. He lived in and around Washington for a number of years, and later moved to a farm near Gretna, and in 1918 moved to Texas.
Marius Nelson was married to Ella Christensen in July, 1913. To this union six children were born, Thora, Margaret, Harold, Helen and Allen. One child died in infancy. Besides his wife and children at Alamo, Texas, he is survived by a brother, Neils of Bellbutte, Canada, a sister, Mrs. Hans Anderson of Winside, Nebraska and Adolph of this community.
