LAKELAND -- Mr. Dudley Wixson Flagler of Lakeland died of heart failure Monday (Jan. 30, 2006) at Oakbridge Healthcare. He was 96. Born in West Haven, Conn., on Aug. 26, 1909, he came to Lakeland from Salisbury, N.C., in 1946. He was a general maintenance superintendent for W.R. Grace & Co. He attended the University of Rochester in New York. He was past president of the Lakeland Art Guild and the Florida Federation of Art. He was a member of College Heights United Methodist Church in Lakeland.Mr. Flagler was preceded in death by his wife, Julia Ruth Flagler. He is survived by his son, Coby Flagler, Lakeland; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Heath Funeral Chapel. Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. Thursday at Oak Hill Burial Park
