Mrs. Effie Grace Lightner, 77, widow of Harry W Lightner, died Saturday at noon at her home, Fairfield R1. She had operated a general store in the Mt. Hope area for 45 years, retiring about a year ago.
A daughter of the late John Calvin and Mary Eyler Sites, she was a native and life long resident of Hamiltonban Twp and was a member of the Mt. Hope EUB Church and of the Ladies Aid Society of that church.
Surviving are a son, Luther W Lightner, Randallstown, Md.; a daughter, Miss Leanna Lightner, at home; seven grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
Funeral services Tuesday afternoon at 2:00 from the Wilson Funeral Home, Fairfield, with the Rev. Alfred Gotwalt, officiating. Interment in Fairfield Union Cemetery.
