Pearley E. "Pearl" (Smith) Robinson was born March 14, 1885, in Champaign County, Illinois. She was the third child of five, born to Wilson Crandal and Paulina Jane (Silvey) Smith. She married Warren E. Robinson, on February 20, 1906, in Champaign County, Illinois. They had five children, including an eldest daughter, Lillian, Marjorie, Neal, and another son. Pearley and Warren divorced after more than fifty years of marriage.
