Alicia Marie Martin, 8, of Viera, Florida passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 23, 2006 at home in her mothers arms. She is survived by her mother, Christine Martin-Stys and her step father, Eugene Stys Jr., her father, Mark Martin and step mother, Nancee Martin, her sisters, Ashley Martin, Emilee Martin, Amanda Stys, Alexis Stys and brother, Mark Martin Jr. She was also survived by her grandmothers, Kathleen Rogers and Kathleen Martin, her grandfathers, Richard Rogers and John Martin, and her great grand mother, Stella Leonard. Alicia was in second grade at Ralph Williams Elementary School in Viera. She enjoyed school and was eager to learn. Alicia also enjoyed cheering for the Suntree Viera Football league and she played soccer with the Space Coast United Soccer Club. Alicia was a very outgoing, sweet, smart, caring, funny and intelligent little girl. Alicia recently received her First Holy Communion at Ascension Catholic Church in Melbourne, where a Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, December 29, 2006. Interment will be in Florida Memorial Gardens. Friends are invited to call at Beckman - Williamson Funeral Home, 5400 Village Drive, Viera on Thursday, December 28 from 6 to 8 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made to the Alicias Hope Fund. This can be done at any Washington Mutual Bank or online at www.aliciahopefund.com . Instead of the traditional black, the family requests a blue attire, as this was Alicias favorite color. Beckman-Williamson Funeral Home in Viera is in charge of arrangements.
