Danny Leonard Dees, age 62, of Dandridge went to be with his Lord and savior October 20th, 2016 after losing his courageous battle with cancer.

He was born July 2nd, 1954 in Arkansas and loved the outdoors, to hunt and fish, wildlife and spending time with his family.

He was a loving, hardworking man, and loved by many that his infectious smile touched.

He is proceeded in death by his father Leonard Dees, mother Othlea Dees, and brother Larry (Bubba) Dees.

He is survived by the love of his life and best friend of 16 years, Anita Dees whom he loved with all his heart. His daughter Gina(Travis)Dodson of Texas. His sons Anthony (Mandy) Dees of Maryville and Josh (Nastosha) Dees of Newport. His stepdaughters Angie Gatens (Sammy Howard) and Michelle(Jason)Lewis and his stepson Dennis(Malieda) Williamson all of Newport. His eight grandchildren, four step grandchildren, one great grandson, one granddaughter and one great granddaughter on the way. Several nieces, nephews, brothers and sisters in laws.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Diane Cates and Wayne Valentine that had been there along the way. Special friends Mike and Gay Young of Arkansas. The VA hospital staff, nurses, and all his doctors and extend a special thank you to his hospice nurse Charles for all his support and care in his final weeks.

The receiving of family and friend will be on October 22nd, 2016 from 5pm-7pm at Manes funeral home with the memorial service to follow at 7 pm with Rev. Jimmy Williams officiating.
