"Griffith D. Taylor"
"Was born in the state of Pennsylvania January 7, 1831, and departed this life March 12, 1909, aged 28 years, 2 months and 5 days. From Pennsylvania he moved to the state of Ohio, where he was married to Elizabeth Spicer, after which he moved to the state of Illinois where his wife, Elizabeth, departed this life March 11, 1895. To this union were born eight children, 3 boys and 5 girls.
"He professed hope in Christ ___ the year of 1877, since which time he has lived a Christian life The deceased leaves 8 children 3 boys and 5 girls and 22 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren to mourn their loss. A short funeral service was held at the house by Rev. Besley, and the remains were taken to the Hale graveyard for burial. He will be missed by all who knew him."
