Ira M. Brown, 67, Shelbyville, died unexpectedly at 11 p.m. Thursday at his home after suffering a heart attack.
He is survived by his wife: Mrs. Hattie Brown; two daughters: Miss Mary Ann Brown, Shelbyville and Mrs. Anna Mae Dixon, Campbellsburg; four step-sons: Tom, Archie and Bill Denton, Shelbyville, and John Denton, Louisville; his mother: Mrs. Metilda Brown, Fairdale; one sister: Mrs. Mayme Farris, Hamilton, Ohio; three brothers: John and Henry Brown, Shelbyville, and Dave Brown, Fairdale; and a granddaughter: Miss Anna Elizabeth Jamison, Campbellsburg.
Funeral services were conducted at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Hall-Taylor Funeral Home, Shelbyville. Rev. Marshall Phillips officiated. Interment was in the Grove Hill Cemetery, Shelbyville.
