Daniel Edward Spicer, 83, of Wayne City, died at 1:30 p.m. yesterday at Fairfield Memorial Hospital.
A retired timber worker, Mr. Spicer was born in Wayne county on March 8, 1888, the son of Daniel and Eliza (Carter) Spicer.
He was married to Niecie McLean, who preceded him in death on Aug. 25, 1971.
Funeral services for Mr. Spicer will be held Friday at 1:00 p.m. at the Richardson Chapel in Wayne City, with burial in Thomason cemetery.
Friends may call at athe funeral chapel after 6:00 p.m. today.
Mr. Spicer is survived by one son, Dale Spicer, Venice, Calif.; two daughters, Mrs. Ester Haynes, St. Louis, Mo., and Mrs. Lucille McCormick, Wayne City; nine grandchildren, and 17 great-grandchildren.
