Per the 1881 History of Ray County, James C. Endicott's first marriage was Nov. 28, 1861 to "Miss Margaret Remley, a native of Ray County." It says, "They became parents of one child, Clara B." It lists Margaret Remley Endicott's date of death as March 1877. It says James married Miss Amy Barber Nov. 29, 1877.
