The funeral service for Peter Lawrence Estby will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 12, 2016, at West St. Olaf Lutheran Church, 70640 ~ 260th Avenue, Hayfield, MN with Reverend Mark Nienow and Reverend Chris Miller co-officiating.

Interment will be in West St. Olaf Lutheran Cemetery.

Visitation will be 4:00~8:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 11, 2016, at Czaplewski Family Funeral Home, 501 ~ 2nd Street NW in Hayfield and one hour before the service at the church on Wednesday.

Peter Lawrence Estby, 58, passed away on October 7, 2016, at his home in rural Stewartville, MN. He was born on May 9, 1958, the son of Harold Ordeen and Delores Gladys (Stockwell) Estby in Austin, MN.

Pete started in a one room school in Sargeant and graduated from Mayo High School. Pete attended Vo-Tech in Rochester where he learned machining Tool and Die, which landed him his job at Crenlo for over 35 years.

He was united in marriage to Jane Beaver on October 21, 1978, at West St. Olaf Lutheran Church.

Pete enjoyed spending quality time with loved ones, fishing, camping, entertaining folks with his grill, and playing cards. He was always eager to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. He had a passion for exploring new ideas in renewable energy. Pete enjoyed exploring other churches and attending Bible Studies with a desire to learn truths, and share it whenever possible. He was encouraging and taught others with great patience. Pete had a special talent to make everyone that he met see the brighter side of life.

Sunshine's of his life are his wife, Jane; daughter, Heidi Schrader; sons, Hans (Breanna) Estby; Ike Estby; and his brightest sunshine's are his two grandsons, Alexander Schrader and Isaac Estby. His siblings are, Sara Estby; Carol (Estby) Crawford; Joyce (Estby) Kukuzke; Robert Estby; Mary (Estby) Cosey and Paul Estby.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

He will be deeply missed by his friends and family.
