Annie E. Adams
---Annie Elizabeth Reid, eldest daughter of William and Fannie Reid, was born July 20, 1883, in Gage county, Neb., near Liberty.
---She was baptized in the Evangelical Zion church.
---She was united in marriage to Thomas Vernon Adams on Dec. 25, 1907. To this union 10 children were born. Four children died in infancy, Ernest Roy, Everett and two daughters.
---They spent their married life farming in Sherman and Thomas counties. After Mr. Adams' death in February of 1934, Mrs. Adams moved to Colby where she made her home with her son, Ray, until his death in 1958. She lived with her two brothers, Isaac and Elmer Reid, until April of 1963 when she and Isaac moved to the I.O.O.F. and Rebekah home in Manhattan.
---She departed this life April 6, 1967, at the age of 83 years, eight months and 17 days in Manhattan.
---She leaves to mourn her departure Mrs. Ellis (Edna) Parsons of Colby, Mrs. Carl (Ethel) Halberg of Burlingame, Charles Adams of Herndon, Lawrence Adams of Denver, Mrs. Charles (Fannie) Harrison of Pacifica, Calif., three sons-in-law, two daughters-in-law, 17 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, two brothers, Isaac Reid of Manhattan and Elmer Reid of Colby, and one sister, Mrs. Janey McDougal of Colby.
---She was a member of the Rebekah Lodge of Brewster.
---Funeral services were conducted April 8 by Dr. Armour H. Evans from the Harrison chapel with interment in the Brewster cemetery. Pallbearers were Floyd Brown, Don McGuire, Ray Craige, Jack Parkman, Leo Pargman and John Pargman; the soloist, Mrs. Thelma Connelly, and the organist, Mrs. C. R. Storer.
