Death:	Feb. 22, 1902 Catskill Greene County New York, USA
US Congressman from New York. He completed his education in Green County's schools, studied law, was admitted to the bar in 1848, and began a law practice in Catskill. Griswold was Greene County District Attorney from 1856 to 1859, and Greene County Judge from 1863 to 1867. He was elected to the US House of Representatives in 1868 as a Democrat and served one term, 1869 to 1871. He declined to run for reelection in 1870 and returned to his Catskill law practice.
