Herbert Oerman, a lifetime farmer in the area west of Herman, died suddenly at his home Thursday, July 30th. Cause of the death was not announced.

Mr. Oerman was born March 28, 1900, on the farm which became his home for his entire life, west of Herman. He was considered a good farmer and a good neighbor and he carried a lifetime active interest in Emmanual Lutheran Church of which he was an elder at the time of his death.

He was married to Ruth Hartung September 10, 1924, and she survives her husband's death.

Also surviving are two sons, Bernard of Herman and Marline of Craig, Nebraska. A daughter Ione, Mrs. Marvin Hoeneman, lives at Craig. There are eight grandchildren. A brother, Lawrence Oerman, lives at Fontanelle.

Funeral services were held Sunday, August 2nd at Emmanuel Lutheran Church with the Rev. H.G. Stoll conducting the service. Burial was made in the church cemetery under the direction of the Warne Funeral Home of Hooper.
