Services for Henry Hartung, 102 of Arbor Manor in Fremont, who died there July 4, 1993, were Wednesday, July 7 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, east of Hooper. Rev. Rodney Meske officiated. Burial was in the Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery.

Henry Hartung was born to William and Juliana Schroeder Hartung May 31, 1891 on the family farm east of Winslow, Nebraska. He lived in Washington County where he farmed and had a trucking business.

In the spring of 1950, he moved into Fremont. He lived in Arlington for three years before moving into Arbor Manor in Fremont in March 1989.

He was a lifetime member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, where he was baptized and confirmed. He was active in its Walther League, Lutheran Layman’s League and sang in the church chorus and church quartet.

He was preceded in death by his parents, four sisters and one brother.

He is survived by a sister, Alma Kruger of Arbor Manor and several nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be given to his church or to the Lutheran Hour.
