Mary Louise Brooks (Martinsen)

Age 83, a longtime Belleville resident.
Mary is the beloved wife of the late Everett (d.1976); loving mother of Patty (Bob) Hall of Bronston, KY, John (Andy Talman) Brooks of Buffalo Grove, IL, Ed (Deanna) Brooks of Aurora, CO, Scott (Felicia) Brooks of Belleville, MI, and Brenda (Jack) Zanger of Monroe, MI.
Mary is also survived by sixteen grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren, niece, LuAnn (Tommy) Martell of Orlando, FL, nephew, Bruce (Derenda) Himschoot of Sanford, FL, her great nieces and nephews, and many extended family and friends.
Sadly, she is preceded in death by her twin sister, Edna Naumann (d. 2007) with whom she had a very special bond.
Born on December 27, 1932 to John and Edna Miller in Detroit, Mary was a lifelong Michigander until moving to Orlando, FL for twenty two years. She was a member of the Moose, enjoyed playing bingo, dancing, travel and gambling, especially the slot machines.
In keeping with Mrs. Brooks wishes, cremation rites have been arranged.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, October 15, 2016 at Hillside Cemetery, Belleville, MI. A reception will follow at the V.F.W Hall located at 44170 Bemis Rd., Belleville.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the Parkinson's Foundation.
