Ruth was the daughter of Robert Thomas & Lenore (Simons) Michaelson. She attended Judson College in Elgin, Illinois and graduated from Northwestern University Evanston, Illinois with her Master's degree in human relations. Ruth was employed as a manager for Opportunity House in DeKalb, Illinois for 2 years. Ruth loved life and enjoyed being around people and caring for them. She was always laughing and smiling to make everyone's day happy. She was the life of every event. Ruth was a member of and very active in the Oak Grove Jubilee Center in Genoa, Illinois. She is survived by her parents. Ruth also had two Sheltie dogs named Sinoma and Keesha that she loved dearly. She was preceded in death by her maternal and paternal grandparents.
