Walter Edgar Charles, 38 Duquesne Way, died in the Lewistown Hospital at 9:35 o'clock this morning. Mr. Charles was 62 and had been in the hospital three days.
He was born in Nodaway County, Mo., on Sept. 14, 1893, a son of the late John and Amanda Gohn Charles.
He is survived by seven brothers and sisters, namely, Mrs. Francis Burke of Monmouth, Ill.; Harry A. Charles of Granville; B. F. Charles of Bradenton, Fla.; Reed V. Charles of Swissvale, near Pittsburgh; John Charles of Colby, Kan.; Mrs. Mary Barnham, 22 Helen St.; and Elmer F. Charles, 38 Duquesne Way.
Mr. Charles was a retired employee of the bleach room at the American Viscoe Corporation and a Methodist by faith.
Funeral services will be held in the Heller and Baudous Funeral Home on Thursday at 2 pm. in charge of the Rev. Cloyd W. Fields. Burial will be made in the William Lind Memorial Cemetery.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. {lewistown sentinel}
