Justin ‘Cody' Looper

Our beloved son, Justin "Cody" Looper, 21, of Denton, passed away Saturday, Dec. 9, in Fort Worth after sustaining injuries due to a vehicle accident.

Cody was born on Jan. 18, 1985, to Steven Dwayne Looper and Teresa Lynn (Sauls) Jester in Denton. He was a member of the Sanger High School graduating class of 2003, and he attended three years of college. He was employed by Verizon. Cody was full of life and enjoyed hunting, camping, fishing, baseball and spending time with his family and his many friends.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 13, 2006, at the Bolivar Baptist Church, FM455 West, Sanger. Visitation will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 12, at the Bolivar Baptist Church. Serving as pallbearers will be Larry Akers, Randy Miller, Steven Hayes, Zach Smith, Casey Estep, Casey Cockrell, Tatom Bivens, Jason Niendorf and J.D. Sederholm. Honorary pallbearers will be Josh Smith, Cole Emery, Eric Sauls, Brandon Knight, Chase Akers, Josh Sauls, Troy Sauls, Drew Hall, Clay Jolly, Cliff Higgs, Chris Hamrick, Louis Fajardo, Jamie Waggoner and Justin Bonner. Interment will be at the Bolivar Cemetery. The family has requested that in lieu of flowers, blood donations be made to the Carter Blood Center in memory of Justin Cody Looper.

Survivors include his father, Steven Looper of Sanger; mother, Teresa Jester of Denton and stepfather, CW4 Douglas Jester of Fort Hood; brother, Dustin Looper of Denton; sister, Stephanie Jester of Brownwood; maternal grandparents, Peggy Delight Sauls of Denton and Thurman P. Sauls of Denton; paternal grandparents, Billy Jack and Mary Jane Looper of Sanger; step-grandparents, Johnny and Vilena Jester of Denton and Pat Bullion of Brownwood; great-grandparents, Buddy Akers and Irene Akers of Sanger; and a host of relatives and friends. Cody, we miss you but you will live forever in our hearts.
