| Birth: | Dec. 10, 1956 | | Death: | Dec. 7, 2006 |  Motocross Racer. On June 22, 1980, he won the 500cc United States Grand Prix at Carlsbad, California. He was the first American to ever win the famous annual gathering of the best from Europe and America for a World Motocross Championship. His win was a huge upset in motocross history because European racers had dominated the races until that time. He retired from professional racing in 1984, but still remained active in the world racing community. In the early 1990s, he became co-owner and eventual vice president of the world wide clothing outlet, No Fear. He was also president of FMF International, the apparel division of the motocross company FMF, that created a motocross clothing brand in joint venue with No Fear. (bio by: John "J-Cat" Griffith)
